Solutions to four faults in the vacuum pump of vacuum oil purifiers

Solutions to four common types of faults in the vacuum pump of vacuum oil purifiers

Vacuum oil purifiers are widely used in power plants, power stations, power companies, substation industries, metallurgy, refineries, petrochemicals, machinery, transportation, railways and other industries. They are used to treat transformer oil, turbine oil, engine oil, hydraulic oil and other oils. Ideal equipment for removing moisture, gas and impurity particles. As a key component of the vacuum oil filter, the vacuum pump has a very important impact on the operating performance of the vacuum oil filter. The following are solutions to common faults of the vacuum pump of type 4 vacuum oil purifiers to help users better utilize the on-site application of vacuum oil purifiers.

1. Vacuum pump oil leakage

Oil leakage is one of the common faults of vacuum pumps. It mainly occurs in the three locations of the vacuum pump's oil window, oil tank seal, and motor bearing shaft seal. The main reason is that the vacuum pump has been used for too long, causing these parts to age and seal to fail, thus causing oil leakage.
The oil window leaks because the vacuum pump has been used for too long and the oil window ages, causing rupture, or the adhesive between the oil window and the oil tank ages and fails, causing the pump oil to seep out; there are two front oil seals and rear oil seals on the motor shaft. An oil seal, any aging failure will cause oil leakage; the oil tank is connected to the motor through an adapter, and there is a sealing ring at the joint between the oil tank and the adapter, which acts as a seal for the oil tank. If it ages, it can also cause oil leakage from the vacuum pump. In addition, there is a felt pad on the adapter, which functions to recover pump oil. If it is full of oil, oil leakage will also occur in the vacuum pump.
The solution to oil leakage is to replace the aging oil window, shaft seal, gasket and felt pad that has been filled with pump oil. After the maintenance is completed, the vacuum pump should be flushed with Edward vacuum pump oil before oil filling, and the filter at the oil filling port should be cleaned with solvent to keep the oil tank clean.

2. The ultimate vacuum degree that the vacuum pump cannot pump

When this fault occurs, you should first check the air tightness of the vacuum system to see if there is any slight air leakage. Secondly, the gas ballast should be opened and the pump should be run for about 30 minutes to drain out the compressible vapor caused by non-pump oil contamination and eliminate the impact of compressible vapor on the ultimate vacuum.
After eliminating the above two factors, the main reasons why the vacuum pump cannot pump the ultimate vacuum are as follows: the pump oil is contaminated, requiring oil change; the oil filter in the pump is clogged, causing the oil circuit of the compression oil injection system to be blocked and the supply Insufficient oil causes the pump body to be loosely sealed. At this time, the internal oil filter needs to be cleaned. The oil distributor valve is deformed, worn or damaged, which can also lead to insufficient oil supply. At this time, the oil distributor valve should be checked and replaced; long-term use may cause The rotary vanes of the vacuum pump are worn or the spring tension in the rotor is insufficient, resulting in loose isolation between the suction chamber and the exhaust chamber, which causes the vacuum pump's vacuuming performance to decline. At this time, the rotary vanes and springs should be replaced, and the rotor and pump chamber should be cleaned; Check the exhaust valve to see if its action fails, resulting in poor exhaust. Replace the exhaust valve if necessary.

3. The motor of the vacuum pump stops midway.

This is because the voltage is too high, the power supply phase is missing, and the oil level exceeds the lower oil level limit. This situation can be eliminated by suspending use and checking the power supply. If it does not start normally, then the electrical component is faulty and you only need to replace the electrical component.

4. Water enters the vacuum pump

If the water in the vacuum pump is due to excessive water accumulation in the cooler, the water is pumped into the vacuum pump and the processed oil contains a lot of water, and the water vapor fails to be cooled into water in the cooler and enters the vacuum pump. You can observe the Liquid level gauge, if the water level is too high, it should be drained in time, the vacuum pump should be cleaned, and the vacuum pump oil should be replaced to eliminate this situation.
